Why do you need to use an industrial panel pc to run in high and low temperature environments?

Ordinary commercial computers are prone to failure when working in high temperature or low temperature environments, especially in complex and harsh industrial environments, the probability of computer failures will be higher. In this case, an Industrial Panel PC is required, why? Let's first understand what effect high temperature and low temperature have on ordinary computers?

1. The temperature of the computer is too high: the heat reduces the resistance of the components and increases the current flowing through the sensitive components. This increased electrical load not only generates more heat, but also degrades components over time. Heat can damage and reduce battery efficiency, especially for computers and other devices. Heat can also affect the platters on the hard drive, potentially rendering data unusable or corrupt. Extreme temperatures can even melt solder, potentially causing motherboard parts to actually come off.

2. The temperature of the computer is too low: the cooling circuit will expand and deform under a sudden thermal explosion when it is turned on; components made of liquid crystals (such as LCD) will freeze and shatter; rotating a physical hard disk platter, if the liquid in the bearing thickens , the platters spin more slowly, and the computer writes and retrieves data at a very slow rate; low temperatures create more condensation inside the computer, a condition that can lead to short circuits and component corrosion. Too high and too low temperatures will affect the operation of the computer, so ordinary computers are not suitable for use in industrial environments. Rugged industrial panel PCs or fanless industrial all-in-ones can operate at high and low temperatures, solving the problem of frequent failures when using computers at high and low temperatures in industrial environments.
3. Industrial panel PCs are usually designed to be fanless, which means that the cooling system of the device requires no moving parts. Fans are relatively small and fragile, whereas fanless industrial panels do not rely on fans and are typically constructed of highly durable military-grade components that can handle a wider temperature range. Because industrial panels use low-power components specifically designed to prevent overheating, they usually don't get too hot.
The sealed enclosure and fanless design also prevents condensation, and military-grade components are less likely to warp. Finally, since rugged industrial panels typically feature easier-to-use SSD hard drives, they don't have hard disk platters or fluid bearings, so data storage isn't detrimental.
It can be seen that ordinary computers are prone to failure in high temperature or low temperature environments, while industrial tablet computers have relatively stable performance and can adapt to high and low temperature environments, so industrial tablet computers should be used in extreme temperatures.
